WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WHAEGURU JI KI FATEH!!

ITS REALLY NICE AND THANKFUL OF YOU ALL TO PROVIDE SUCH A NICE SERVICE..I BELIEVE THAT WE ( THE YOUNG GENERATION) NEED SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HELP US OUT OF OUR ABSTRUSE QUESTIONS.
ANYWAYS MY QUESTION WHICH I RECKON , IS VERY GENERAL. I AM SIKH AND I HAVE (CANT SAY VERY STRONG )BUT GOOD FAITH IN GOD AND SIKHISM. I AM VERY PROUD OF BEING A SIKH , BUT AT TIMES I DONT REALLY UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY BEHIND LIFE AND WHAT GOD REALLY EXPECTS FROM US.. TO EXPLAIN THIS , I WOULD GIVE MY OWN EXAMPLE.. WELL OUR FAMILY IS NOT FINANCIALLY SOUND AND ACCORDING TO WHAT I HAVE SEEN AND OBSERVED WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD SOME OR THE OTHER KIND OF PROBLEMS TURNING IN ( BE IT HEALTH, FINANCE OR WHATEVER) . YOU KNOW , NOT EVEN ONE YEAR HAS PASSED WITHOUT HURDLES AND I DONT SAY THAT PEOPLE SHOULD LIVE A HURDLE FREE LIFE BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND ONE THING THAT WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE WHO DONT PRAY AND DONT REALLY MUCH BOTHER ABOUT EXISTENCE OF GOD .. I MEAN THOSE WHO DONT CARE ARE PROSPERING AND THOSE WHO ARE MUCH HIGHER THAN THEM HAVE TO FACE SO MANY COMPLICATIONS. I REALLY DONT KNOW WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN OR AM I WRONG IN SAYING SO , I DO BELIEVE THAT OUR DEEDS IN THE PREVIOUS BIRTH DECIDES THE KIND OF LIFE WE WILL BE SUBJECTED TO IN THE NEXT BIRTH..BUT THAT MEANS THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO IT AND WE HAVE TO PAY PENANCE OF OUR PREVIOUS BIRTH RIGHT NOW ,IN ANY WAY , EVEN IF WE DO PRAY AND HAVE FAITH IN GOD?? I SHOULD'NT SAY BUT THATS REALLY NOT FAIR??? IN ONE OF THE BOOK I HAD READ THAT GOD NEVER ANSWERS SUCH QUESTION ( WHY DOES BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE) COZ IT INVOLVES ARGUMENT AND GOD DOES NOT WANT TO GET INTO ARGUMENTS??? WELL THAT MY CONFUSION AND I HOPE I GET ANSWER SOME DAY TO THIS QUESTION. IN CASE YOU CAN HELP ME OUT OF THIS IT WOULD REALLY NICE OF YOU..I AM SURE IT WILL STRENGTHEN MY FAITH TOO , IN CASE I GET A SOLUTION.
HOPE U WILL NOT DISAPPOINT ME BY IGNORING MY LETTER AND I HOPE TO GET QUICK RESPOND FROM YOU!!!
THANKS A LOT!!

(REPLY) Sat Nam. You have answered your own question, but you don't like the answer! in other words, yes, we are here because we have lessons to learn, karma to pay from past lives. some people may have earned a lot of "good" karma in previous lives, and so although they may not be "good" this time around (and we have no right to judge anyway!) believe me, whatever they sow, they shall reap eventually! Meanwhile, your family and you have your own karma, and your own hurdles to conquer. A good saying to remember is: "It's not the life that matters, it's the courage that you bring to it.." If you were to study Siri Guru Granth Sahib, and try to understand the Guru's words and messge, you would find that all that happens to us here on Earth is temporary, and the thing we need to do is to go inside ourselves and find that identity, find and communicate with the Truth that is our real identity. We do that best by chanting God's Name, reciting the banis every day, and living righteously. You are a soul, temporarily dwelling in a physical body, and having experiences, some good, some bad, but all relationships, all situations are just temporary, until we can go Home to Akal Purkh -- where there is the greatest freedom and joy -- so we need to start getting used to acknowledging the reality of God and Guru here amdnow. Living as a Khalsa is the most practical, efficient path for any Sikh -- making the Guru your best friend, and being kind and noble to all people, serving others and practicing all the virtues that our Guru's taught. Having faith is marvelous, and LIVING up to that faith is even better! May God bless you and Guru guide you to greater and greater awareness.
