Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki Fateh

There is a key difference between the Bible, Quran, Vedas, and our Guru Granth Sahib and that is what the focal point is. The Bible is a collection of stories from which we derive the spiritual "lesson". The Vedas are a list of things done and consequences. Guru Granth Sahib, though, focuses on God and our relationship with him. EVERY sikh should read the holy books of all religions, for the fundamental driving force behind Sikhi is wishing to develop a firm and close relationship with God. My BabaJi tells me, Sikhi and all other religions are paths, but they all lead to a single source.

Also, please forgive me, but I must drift a bit off of topic. We should not worry about the minor matters like wearing the proper metal kara or marrying out of religion. I am sure that you will not lose spirituality by wearing or doing a minor offence. The crux of the matter is that, we must take on a more active role in realizing our own spirituality. As long as you maintain respect and love for Waheguru, you will succeed in your quest.

Remember, the main point of Sikhi is to open Dasam Duar and achieve enlightenment. Simply listen to your soul, not the heart and mind, for both are blind.

Amaan Baksh Bakshindeh-o Dastgir, Khataa Baksh Rozi Deh-o Dilpazir
He(Waheguru)grants us peace and security and is always merciful in forgiving us for our sins. He holds our hand and guides us(in this world). He is provider of our sustenance and charms everyone.
