i read this question regarding the recitation of path while going through the Q&A- "When I try to go slowly, I must guiltily admit I get bored. Can you help me think of a time, state of mind, etc. when I can do paath/kirtan sincerely?"

i had passed a similiar situation not long ago. the main reason i think was that i didnot understand the meaning of the paath and just recited it. but a short while ago i read the meanings of japji sahib and some other banis both in panjabi and english. they have helped a lot and i never get bored by paath and it is never a recitation alone.i enjoy it and try to spend as much time as i can. may be this can help.

Sat siri akaal. Thanks for the tip. Another tip is to really LISTEN or let the mind get into the actual 'sound current' of the bani, since that is an important part of why we have gurbani anyway!
