Summary of Question:	Need Urgent Help With Sikh Info

Dear Gursikh,

My name is Baljeet Singh Sall and I am currently studying a BA (HONS)
Interactive Multimedia at Staffordshire University.

As part of my final year I am required to construct an interactive
artefact based on a topic of my own choice. I have chosen the topic of
teaching Sikhism and culture to children, aged between 7-11. The
completed artefact aims to teach the children how to recognise,
pronounce, and write each letter in the alphabet. It will also provide
basic information on a suitable related topic on Sikhism and culture.
All of the above will be implemented through the use of various types of
media.

I am very confident that when complete, the artefact will be made
available to the public in the form of a CD-ROM.

I will be relating one topic from Sikhism to each one of the individual
letters in the Gurmukhi alphabet, however I am having serious problems
in finding appropriate topics. For some letters I have found many
topics and for others I am unable to find any.

e.g. kukka - Khalsa
aara - Ek Onkar

For the above reasons I am seeking your advice in deciding what topics
that you and your associates feel would be most appropriate and
beneficial to this age group. I feel that my knowledge on Sikhism is fair but I
do require a educated Gursikh to ensure that I get the content correct as the
application will be teaching the next generation of Sikhs about their own
identity.

The completed artefact will ultimately benefit the same cause that you
are already fighting for. When the artefact is to be made available to
the public I will also need to ensure that all imagery within is
copyright free. Any other information that you can bestow upon me will
be greatly appreciated. For initial screen designs or any other

Sat Siri Akaal. Your question is beyond the direct purview of this Forum. May I suggest you research this site http://www.sikhnet.com/search by topic and that you also view http://www.sikhseek.com I think you perhaps need to do more fundamental perusal of Sikh resources, and sikhseek will help in this way. I also suggest you get help from ministers at your local gurdwara, as well as help from your university guidance counselor.
