Sat Sri Akal!

Just a comment about the question below.

Taking a fruit from the plant does not kill the plant.

In life one is always killing something. When we breath we kill microbes, inside of our bodies we kill bacteria and other things. When we walk we step on living things we might not see. In order to nourish these bodies one must consume something that at one point was alive. Doing this, we make the choice to cause less suffering than is needed. Also as stated below, we choose food that will not give us bad karma from killing it or taking on it's karma.

Eating a vegetarian diet greatly improves ones ability to meditate and feel on a spiritual level.

Wahe Guruji Ka Khalsa!
Wahe Guruji Ki Fateh!

we call the chicken meat a non-veg food because we have to kill 1 living thing for it.then y do we call fruit a veg food even though it is killed too? plants are living things......so fruits are living things too....so we kill 1 living thing.......right? So y do Giani people dn eat meat saying that it is non-veg and eat fruit saying it is veg......even though there's no diference in the procedure??

A chicken is an animal and a fruit or vegie is a plant. Animals have karma and we take on that karma when we consume the animal. Your choice!
