hello...

i have something to tell u. So much people at my school that are punjabi cut their hair. Me? well i surely didn't. But most people come up to me and ask " why don't you cut your hair. It's so long." what shall i tell them? I have no problem with other people cutting their hair. But sometimes I feel left out because they cut their hair and didn't. You can't do any hair sytles with long hair. It's just soo boring. Sorry. Anyway, one more question. Can Sikh punjabi girls have crushes on a punjabi boy? Like just a crush nothing else. No biggy.
Anyway please answer fast.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. there have been a zillion or more discussions on this site about why we DON'T cut our hair, and you should be well supplied with answers to those who ask why you keep yours long! Such as, "I respect the God who gave me long hair!" "As a Sikh, I'm supposed to keep my hair long,and live as God made me." I don't care what others do, I do what I think is best for me." It takes courage to hold on to your principles when "everyone" else seems to be doing something different, but that's what makes for character! As for long hair being boring, on the contrary, you can wear it in many ways, and believe me, it is your crowning glory! Don't destroy it, it is God's gift to you! As for "can" a Sikh panjabi girl have a "crush" -- well, I guess it "can" happen, but it's not a good idea! Crushes are emotional entanglements, and distractions, and best to be avoided. Too many people get in trouble thinking, oh, this is just an innocent thing, but then it escalates, and pretty soon there's really a problem. Emotions are temporary, and undependable. Try not to get caught up in them. I know it's hard when you're young, but you'll be better off in the long run. Blessings with love, SP
