wjkk wjkf!!

I really need help. Ive been amritdhari for some time now, but recently i cant wake up amritvela, im getting lazy and cant seem to snap out of it. I do ardas everyday asking god to bless me with amritvela but its like its not being answered. What can i do? Since ive been doing the ardas, ive been waking up later and later..HELP!!!

What prayers can help me with this problem, Im also not doing simran, like i use to, This is going to sound terrible, but i feel bored with it.Is that really bad?? What a stupid question, of course it is! Please help i beg you, cant ask anyone else, they are going to think how bad i am..how can an amritdhari person feel bored of praying or be so lazy. Why isnt god listening?

confused

(REPLY) Sat Nam. There are times in the spiritual life of a person when all seems dark and impossible. This is sometimes called the Dark Night of the Soul. It isn't that "God isn't listening" -- For some reason, your faith is being tested. Just keep praying for help and the ability to get up in the amrit vela, and there are some specific things you can do on the physical plane that can help. Be sure you are getting enough sleep - so go to bed early. Do not eat for at least two hours before going to sleep. I'm sure you are reciting Kirtan Sohila just before you go to sleep, so continue to do that. Put on a CD of Gurbani to play (very softly) overnight while you are asleep. I have found that chanting DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR shabd, praying to "The Lord of Miracles" Guru Ram Das is very effective. Another thought: have you had a medical check-up recenly? Sometimes when the thyroid gland is not functioning properly, a person can feel overly tired and depressed, and this can be helped medically. Don't despair, remember, God loves you, and with every breath is reaffirming His presence in you! You can just say, "OK God, whatever you want from me, here I am!" and remind yourself with ANG SANG WAHE GURU that God and Guru are with you always -- even when it doesn't seem like it! May God bless you and Guru guide your way in love and light, SP
