************************************************************

You are in a difficult situation and you must look to Guru-ji within you for guidance. Respecting and honoring family is a valuable principle to live by. So is loving and respecting a potential bride. So is living according to a dharma, or rehit.

The only thing I can tell you for certain is that your friend is definitly not "half-caste". Guru-ji sees no castes. She is your friend. She may become your partner for life. But she is neither greater than nor lesser than you or your family.
