WHGJKK WHGJKF, This is for the person who made a response to freedom to love, I can understand your assumptions, But my parents have not chosen a life partner for me as my mother is a christiain and my father who is half english and half punjabi has no regligion. And I 'm not harrasing any sikhi boys for marraige. I'm lucky to have the freedom to love whom i choose, but my pain comes from the people who do not. I'M NOT USING SIKHISM TO GET WHAT I WANT. I'm simply stating facts because my eyes and heart are open,and I want you to understand i dont just see pain, I feel it, This is what keeps me awake at night, allways fretting about the world and its problems and knowing that I cannot change it alone. If people think that following and marraige according to caste is fine, then I simpley think should question their heart about equality and humanity,then have the face to question our gurus. I'm not a perfect singhne and have sinned many times, and I dont claim to have a full understanding of sikhi( allthough ill make a lifetime effort to understand), but I do know the basic difference between right and wrong and i'm pretty sure that our gurus have spoken the word of god, and tried their best to make us understand. Dear (sister?) I wish you all the happieness and respect you deserve as a human and as a sikh, and please dear sister remember that our gurus said that God speaks the language of Love. I hope i have caused you no offence when trying to explain myself ,And I also hope you dont diss me as a wacky hippy nutter type because that is not the case. I wish all sikhs a happy and spiritual life. Carina
