Sat Sri Akal...

I totally agree by what a sister has said in "Re: About So Called "Sikh Girls"". I would like to add that the boys too are cutting their hair, refusing to wear pagris and triming or even shaving their beards..

I reside in Singapore and 2 yrs ago when i visited India most of my relatives wers hocked that at the age of 17 I was wearing a full pagri and doing paath on a dial basis even tough i had not taken amrit at that point of time. Most of my cousin asked me why i still kept my hair , tied a pagri and did paath even tough i lived overseas and how difficult it was for me to fit in with the people of singapore.I was quite taken aback. I agree people in singpore no nothing about sikhism other than the fact that any sikh man's surname is Singh. However they are willing to learn and accept you as you are and what u stand for.

However, i must add that an increasing number of male Sikhs in Singapore to trim their beards and girls trim their hair. There are still a significant number of "proper" sikhs who keep thier kesh and do paath..

Keep faith in Guru Jee as he has already made some for You.
