SSA,

I must admit that I am not a true sikh and full of sin. I have started reading SGGS and am really pleased that I have started finding answers to my questions and loove reading it. I have a problem with my love life. I have a girlfield since 4 years now. I used to reallly love her but after moving to a different country my love for her reduced. I never ever wanted to hurt her in any way. I really dont know why i dont love her anymore. Its nothing to do with another girl because I do not want to go in another relationship becasue I care for her. I know if I marry her i wont be able to take care of her because I dont love her. I am really feeling bad about myself and its spoiling mylife. I dont want her to know that I dont love her but on the other hand I feel like I AM COMMITING A SERIOUS SIN. I am really confused and ask for your help. Please kindly guide me! I am lost!

Dear one, please do not be lost and do not be so hard on your self. You are a human being and like most young people having someone near you as a friend is an important component in that relationship. Now that you are seperated, that need is not being filled and thus you are feeling a loss of that love.

Bottom line is, what kind of committment have you made with your girlfirend? I think you should discuss together how you both are doing with this new situation of living in different countries. You may be surprised to find that her feelings for you may have changed as well. Rather than writhe in pain and guilt, talk to each other in kindness and honesty. She will understand and you can work this out.
