Summary of Question:	Is It That Bad For Sikhs And Hindus To Marry

i have two elder brothers and an older sister my eldest brother has married a sikh girl and she has brought so much hassle to my family. My other brother has married a hindu girl and i love her like my own sister. my sister is soon to marry a hindu boy and he is great aswell. I now feel as the only girl left the pressure is on me to marry a sikh, my mum is always going on about how i WILL marry a sikh boy. i would love so much if i could but i hav doubts about being able to find the right sikh boy good enough for me and my family after all they'r not what they used to be. I look at my sikh sister-in-law and i HATE her, i look at my hindu sister-in-law and i LOVE her. so im thinking is it that bad for sikh and hindus to marry? my mum and dad have always been ok with the mixed marriages but i dont think they could handle another one i need to know if it is really that bad. Iv taken notice of the fact of the whole mixed raced kids and which language do we teach them? but is it that bad for sikh and hindus to marry?

It is definitely harder to marry out side of your religion, if you can find a Sikh boy that you love, with whom you are compatible, that is preferrable. Its not just language, its also holidays, traditions, prayers, clothes, etc., etc. To conclude that it is bad for Sikhs and Sikhs to marry because of your limited experience is pretty prejudice and narrow minded, don't you think? Don't you know both wonderful Sikhs and Hindus and rather obvoxiouis ones as well? Ask Guru to guide you to your most perfect mate. Marrying within your religion is easier and can be more fulfilling, because you share the same traditions and practices. It is also more confusing for the children. If you are a religious Sikh girl, project to attract a good Sikh young man to you. Be open and prayerful. If it doesn't really matter to you, than just ask God to bring you a good, kind man, whether Sikh or Hindu. GTKK
