Summary of Question:Time To End The Dera Waad System
Category:Sikh Practices
Date Posted:Friday, 3/02/2007 8:46 AM MST

Recently I visited one of the most important and historic Gurudwara Of Guru Nanak Dev ji called as "Manikaran Sahib". But to my Shock what has been practiced at that place is idol worship and bhibhoot samgri that too in front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Prakash/Hazoori. The Gurudwara was handeled by some "Deva Bhenji" a Hindu lady non Amritdhari who used to give blessings to his folowers and its all under her supervision that this malpractices have been happening since from past couple of years at that holy place where Guru sahib visited and stayed and produced a "Hot Spring" for Bhqi Mardana Ji's Food preparaion. The main Hall of the gurudwara is full of photogrphs of Devis an Devtas, muslim saints, pandits and lot of naam Japane vale log. But as Guru Gobind singh said "sab sikhan ko hukum hai, Guru manio Granth". So it is our duty to raise voice against such deras as time has come to make people realize that what is truth and what is just a myth. I have taken a lot of snap shots inside the hall where the photogarphs have been planted over the gurbani written at their back. Its too much now...!!!!!! you know we must have resolution that at a place where Guru Granth sahib ji Is prakashit, nobody would bow his head in front of any other person and if at any place this thing would be happening then either the Guru sahib would be taken away from that place or that person would be sentenced a legal punishment.

Kindly give your full support against this ...we need justice for sikhism....to retain its purity and originality.
