i want to ask that is it right for a gursikh to add his surname to show specifically that he belongs to a particular comm.I feel very sorry when i look for adds which shows gursikhs(jats/aroras/khatris etc.)associated with them
what should these people be called who want to even divide the gursikhs on the
basis of their financial positions.

Dear One:
Sat Siri Akaal. Guru Gobind Singh gave us the names Singh and Kaur to identify ourselves as Gursikhs. He did not tell us to use Singh and Kaur and then add family, caste, or village names. While it is a common Punjabi/Indian practice to add such surnames, it is as you said: it divides us rather than unites us and for the ones doing it, it relates them first to a small select community, rather than to the Guru and Panth Khalsa. In Guru's eyes we are all Gursikhs, no matter what our financial or other life status. We are all members of Guru's family, and that is how Guru wants us to relate first and foremost.
Guru rakha,
-DKK
