why is it that some brides are more happier than others.? I just got married. It was an arranged marriage. The boy and his family are very nice however he seems to be more fond of me than I am of him. Why does this happen? I thought love was supposeed to be equal.I'm having a difficult time emotionally adjusting to this change and I can honestly say that I am in love with him right now. Is this normal and waht if things don't change in the future? Will my love for him take time?

thank you

Happiness lies only within you. It is not dependant on external circumstances or other people, even your husband. It comes from the depth of your relationship to your own soul and to your Guru.

By Guru's grace, my wife and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this year. We have had hard times and easy times, ups and downs, but through it all, the center of my life has been my Guru, and it is so for her as well.

If you understand and practice what Guru Ram Das Ji has written in the Lavan every day of your marriage, your love will deepen until it reaches a great joy with both subtlety and depth. I can tell you that I am happier now in my marriage than I have ever been. You can be too.

Keep up, read and practice what the Lavan teaches, keep love for the Guru foremost in your heart and mind, and you will make it.
