I got an ok grade in english, but its not good enough for my parents. they are making me do 2 book summaries this summer and write a persuasive essay on abortion, i dont care about abortion, but i did it anyways. Guess what! it wasn't good enough, so they are making me do it all over again, it was 5 pages!!! Why wont they just let me do it once, my dad says as long as you tried your hardest its good for me, and i did, but its not good enpough for my mom, what can i do, with out having to do it over again????

Try to get your parents to define what they are expecting in your report. Have them be very specific about their expectations. Otherwise, you could never satisfy them. Isn't this the way life is in general? We have to find out what some one's expectations are before we can try to fulfill them, and it helps the other person to know what they are expecting. Some times after we know what someone's expectations are, we may have to say, "I'm sorry, I'm not able and/or willing to fulfill your expectations. Blessings. GTKK
