I also find that much of the time these "racist" feelings are not really meant to be that way.... but that people don't always understand or agree with another's culture so people tend to judge or feel that you do not fit in with their way of living or culture. There will always be people like this...but then on the other side...there will also be good, understanding people. There is always the polarity, good - bad, black - white. We cannot generalize from the experience with some....because if we do...then we find ourselves doing the very same thing of judging another based on Skin color or religious background.
Just the other day I had someone come up and express his feelings saying that for so long he though that "white" sikhs were "wierd"..."un-cool"....(however you want to describe it)... but after recently meeting and getting to know some Sikhs.... he felt bad that he was thinking bad things for so long (after realizing that we were good people and nothing like what he was thinking).
