I have a doubt n wanted to get it kleared,my mum reads SHRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB and due to some health problem she kannot sit down read it so she had kept it on the tablen she sits on a chir to read it is that allowed or not?
2ND question was that is it necessary to have a "chandoya" and "palki" with the GRANTH SAHIB?

I look forward to ur reply as soon as possible to solve my problem.

It is ok to sit and read the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

The Guru should be on some sort of palki, whether it is traditional or custom made.
