Summary of Question:	Why Doesnt God Hear Me?

hello there. I wanted to ask that why does not god hear my prayers? is it because i am not very religious, although i say my prayers every night and i visit the gudwara about once a month. Basically all i want is for my sister to find a husband and get married she has seen many and none have been right i ask god to please find her a husband so she can be happy and so that my dad will no longer have the stress that he faces.

another thing is thaT MY sister is so giving and does everything for others and she is a good girl so to speak so why does god not see that? my cousin for example ran away from home and married a muslim then she left and went back home and yet god found her a husband and she is happily married with a kid now!!! i dont understand that those that do good get nothing yet the bad ones get what they want. please help

You know how sometimes a child will want to have a cookie right before dinner, and will ask his mother, "Can I have a cookie?" and the Mother smiles, and says lovingly, "No way." Well-does it mean that the Mother hasn't heard the request? Of course the Mother hears it. It's just that the answer is "no."

Maybe the Guru has other plans for your sister besides getting married and having children. Maybe the fact that she is such a good person and serves everyone means that the Guru would like her to go out into the world and serve on His behalf. Not all women are meant to be married and have children. This may seem unusual for some - but it is a very real truth. Some women are meant to create other things besides families. If you truly want to help your sister, try a different prayer. In stead of parying to God that she finds a husband, pray to God that she finds her destiny and lives in the reality of His Will for her. That may be a prayer much more easily answered.
