satsriakalji, i was just reading through previous responses on abortion and found this:

The soul of the child does not enter the body until 120 days after conception. This period of time is built in by the Creator so the parents can be sure they want the child. Abortion is only a problem after 120 days, then you would be killing the child.

i was just wondering where the figure of 120 days came from?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Remember, Abortion is a personal decision. As for the 120 days, it takes that long for the fetus to be formed adequately for the soul to enter, and that is when the mother feels life "quicken" within her.
