Usualy i would try chanting God name in my head but i just aint, and saem when i do Parth i mean i tryin but i dont concentrate no more. everyday i go ill try but i dont. Ill try takin your advice , but i doubt ill keep it going for more than a week, im just in a depressed mood about it all, and i needed to tel someone. Thanks for listening
(REPLY) When it's really hard to concentrate and focus, the best thing to do is chant outloud! Silent meditation may be too difficult for you right now, and because you're not able to do anything, your life isn't getting the spiritual support we all need, and that is depressing! So, chant out loud! Find a simple mantra that you can repeat for at least 11 minues - such as WA HAY GURU or SAT NAM, and you can even make up a melody for the chant! The main thing is to chant God's Name!It helps sometimes to have a tape or CD with mantra on it, so that you can chant along with it. There are plenty of them available. Also, to calm your mind, before you start chanting, try sitting quietly (same place, same time every day helps a lot -- especially before sunrise) and close your eyes and with closed eyes "watch" your breath come in an out your nose, and think SAT on the inhale, and NAM on the exhale for about 2 minutes or more. You'll be surprised how calming that can be. May God and Guru bless you! SP
