Hi I have 2 questions

I know that once u take amrit u make a vow not to commit any of the 4 kurehits and if u do ur not a sikh anymore but can u rebaptize? and if you haven't taken the amrit and u commit the vows does that mean ur not a sikh anymore? just wonderin wut our religion says on this, b/c everyone says that sikhism is a pretty liberal as compared to other religions.

Yes, you can rebaptize. Sikhism is about consciousness. In the Catholic Church if one sins he or she goes to the priest and confesses and then recites prayers on the rosary to be forgiven. As Sikhs, everthing is within. Your consciousness decides if you are a Sikh. We have a rehit, yes,and the purpose of the rehit is to elevate our consciousness. We read our banis and from the SGGS to elevate our consciousness; we eat a vegetarian diet to keep our bodies clean, so we can meditate; we don't "sleep around" to keep our auras our own and pure; we are kind to others so we don't create bad karma, and because it is the right thing to do to elevate the planet. I could go on and on. It's all about consciousness. Evaluate in the depth of you what will serve your consciousness. Before you go out into the public, look in the mirror and ask yourself - "Does my appearance project the identity I feel inside...do my words and actions project my internal identity?" Live your life like this and you will live as a Sikh. Blessings. GTKK
