Summary of Question:Hindu Influences/Radha Swamis

What seems to be wrong with sikhs all over the world. Consistently we are being polluted by Hindu/Brahmin influences such as the cutting of our hair. Some sects or cults which supposedly adhere to sikhism seems to be breaking it down. for example some of my family have become Radha swamis and have then gone on to convert the whole of one side of my family to this cult. Though these people claim to be sikhs, they do not use the slautation Sat Sri Akaal, but have invented their own greeting. Furthermore, most of them cut their hair saying that it is only symbolic and not really the roots of sikhism. Are these people really sikh, and if not should we be allowing them to convert huge masses of our Khalsa to and alternative INFIDEL religeon

Sat Sri Akal,

Sikhs are those people who follow the teachings of the Gurus and adhere to the the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Anyone else is not a Sikh. Whether people become christians, muslims, hindus or radhi swamis is of no consequence - they are NOT Sikh. We should never let any one or any group convert huge masses of Sikhs to anything else, we should strive to let people know the true meaning of Sikhi and to teach them to not let some over night cult convert them.

I have also heard of a cult in Thailand where they have the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the main leader is sitting next to the Guru and everyone bows down to the leader, not the True Guru. These kinds of cults come about left and right and have no solid bearing in anything. They take the words out of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and distort them to fit their own needs.

Whatever the reason, Sikhs need to be taught to not to convert to anything else just because they "get to cut their hair" or are promised women in heaven (like in islam), etc.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
