sardar sahib,

why is it that even when nirankari people oppose guru gobind singh ,retain singh with theur names?
Do they they popularise themselves as some sect opposite to sikhism?
Have they tempered guru granth sahib and if so they uphold the tempered one?
do they uphold guru nanak or not?
how did they start up with all this?
Are they in large numbers?
what are sikhs doing to stop them?
are sikh organisations doing something about radha swami sect?
how can they popularise something under the name of sikhism?
please respond......manytimes you do not..

Sat Siri Akaal.

Sorry for the delay.

I cannot answer all your questions. It is not up to Sikhs to 'stop' Nirankaris or Radha Swamis, for it is not part of our way to evangelize or tell others how to worship God, period. They are both Sikh sects, and they largely observe Sikh teachings but they follow a LIVING spiritual guide, called a Sant.

In their own minds they consider themselves Sikh, so this is why they use Singh and Kaur, but I do not think they baptize and become Amritdhari--I don't know for certain though.

The Sant holds great respect for the Sikh Gurus, but I cannot explain how the Sant's teachings do or do not differ from Gurus' teachings, except in the obvious, (that they follow a living teacher).

Google is a great search engine. I went to http://www.google.com and searched the word "Nirankari" and got a number of hits. Start there and good luck.
