Hi Mate, to be honest I was just browsing this site and I came across your question. It did hurt me to read that people are still narrow minded and can be so hurtful.

Let me tell you about me, and maybe you can relate. My problem is that I have a tendency to stutter when I speak, this is something that I have had from my childhood. Occasionally, I will just stutter when I’m nervous, or just out the blue. And throughout my school years, and even whilst at university people made fun of me, I must admit it hurt me, and the worst thing was that I would get even more nervous and stutter even more. On occasions I would just not speak, because I was scared that I would stutter and people would make fun of me. I’m 22 as well and just have graduated from University in England, as time went by I realised it was inner belief and self-confidence that I was lacking. I began to realise that people that made fun of me, were just insecure themselves and tried to be funny to be accepted in the ‘so-called’ social circles.

Although I do still stutter from time to time, I know have the confidence and self-belief to overcome my problem, and not care what people think or say of me. Life is too short to worry about what people think of you.

I’m not going to preach and say lose weight, the important thing is if you happy the way you are, its up to people to accept you for who you are, and you should have to change for nobody but yourself. Like the saying goes ‘What goes around will come around’, and these people will realise its not nice to be made fun of sooner or later.

Regarding your fear of taking your driving license, don’t worry I’ve got friends from university who are 22,23 and 24 and they have still not taken their driving license, because they are scared and have to be driven around by their little sisters. Take your driving test, when you are comfortable and ready.

I think the main reason why your feeling so down is, because you’re lacking self-confidence. Learn to believe in yourself and your abilities. Then I’m sure you will feel a lot better and happier.

Hope this helps and hope you feel a lot better, all the best and Good Luck.

Sat Nam. Yes, the most important thing is to honor and respect your SELF.And realize with every breath, God is reminding you that He lives and breathes in you. The body and even the mind are temporary, but your soul is immortal and divine. ANG SANG WAHE GURU! I hope the person who posted the original question will contact you by email, as you have offered. Thanks for sharing your experience.
