Hi

Just wanted others peoples views on suffering?? if u are a good person do u still think that suffering should take place on that individual?? is because of karma where our last actions in our last life effect us in this life, its just that I have acne on my face and do somnetimes feel down because of this- but i always ask myself have I done somerthing bad in my last life to dererve this or done something bad to someone in this one?? i ask god to forgive me if i have though??

anybody else got on any thoughts on this

thanks for listening
(REPLY) Sat Nam. Suffering is part of the human condition -- it is caused by the way we view the things that happen. Physical problems are not comfortable, and the best thing is to get medical advice. Meanwhile, don't attribute everything that happens to some great metaphysical reason. Yes, we all bring into this lifetime karma from past lives, some of it is physical, but what is important is how we deal with it. It's not the life that matters, it's the courage that we bring to it. If we accept everything that comes to us as God's will, and try to make everything better in our lives, as well as others lives that is the most we can do. Read Japji Sahib and try to understand that you are a soul temporarily here on this planet in human physical form to experience God's creation. But the body (with or without acne) is not WHO YOU ARE! Think ANG SANG WAHE GURU whenever you feel "down" and determine to be happy, no matter what! Life has its ups and downs, just try to enjoy the ride. Again, get medical attention for your skin condition -- as well as try eliminating sugar from your diet, and eat lots and lots of green vegetables. Blessings, SP
