Summary of Question: | Covering Head During Path |

My question: I try to path at work through out the day. But I do not cover my head. Is it wrong if my head is not covered?
(REPLY) Sat Nam. As Sikhs, we keep our heads covered all time in public. If you are a man, why aren't you wearing a turban? If you are a woman, either a turban or a scarf. Sorry to be so blunt, but the head covering is not just a whim. It is an important part of our identity. I guess from your email address that you work in government, so perhaps you think you can't wear a turban and keep your job? As for the "right" or "wrong" part of it, it has to do with the energy of the top of the head, as well, of course, the showing respect for the Word of God. I presume you cover your head when you go to Gurdwara?
