Dear sikhnet

I have very complex question which my family couldnt even answer

YOu know how they state that Sukhmani sahib is equal to 2400 words for each breath we take in our whole day

I wanted to know if I chant waheguru 2400 on a mala is it equal to Sukhmani sahib

I concentrate a little better on the mala
cant say i fully focus on the naam but its better then just flapping ur gums

Sat nam. I had not heard this bit about the 2400 words so I cannot comment on it. SGGS is a 1430page dissertation on the benefits of naam simran. Chanting the naam and using a mala is an appropriate practice for a Gursikh and in terms of the the ultimate goal of Sikh practices, should be equal in merit and effect.
Try to visualize the actual word waheguru when you recite, it will help your focus. Guru ang sang,
