I have now been seign tis topic on sikhnet for a while and would liek to clarify some points from a indian view as i being a british born sikh see myslef not british nor punjabi. First of all to all thosoe people who are not trashing indians but saying indians are this was or that way. The reason indians seem to beb losing their faith and whatver more you see is all false. Punjabi people are not onlu a couple oth thousans like western non indain sikhs where when u look at them, they all seem so pure and into their faith. India carries humdreds of thounsand sikhs and offcouse lets just do the math, not all of them are going to be saint soldiers now are they so try to also think that its balalnced. Maybe in 500 yrs in usa u shall see how many true sikhs there are nd it wont look like it does today. Elizibeth reading your post i felt really bad. However open your eyes, i know u undertand reality my passing freind. Indians are just like any culture, just because they reside within a temple shouldnt change them. many idians do not like other cultures, many of them dont even read bani so u must undertand that they are just people, liek any other race tha would do the same. I didnt call all white people evil as i was the only brown guy in school taking abuse fro them, i think many of these post shoudl be dealt with with in urself, forget bani, common sense tell you that those people who think sikhi is only for punjabi people are just kidding themsleves. Nobody knows the reason why the supeme master chose the land of punjab and the indian people. MAybe it could not have started anywhere else who knows and really who cares, when i look onto the world i see kust people and SIKHI is a way of life! When i see non ethnic sikhs i get a warm feeling inside but them i remeebr that its nothing special, its just a new pahe, once i saw a man of african origin dressed in a bana in london any my yjaws hung and i was so proud, walked down the street with his sarbloh huge kareh and his dastaar and flowing beard and waheguru tattoed over his arm. In reality its nothing special bacuse you only have to look at islam, christianity, or any other long term faitht to undertad this. PLEASE READERS stop making such big issues out of this indian, white sikhs and how we are treated. Its commom sense the world is not a society of prefect saiints with clear thinking views, do not seperate humans fo rthtat is the first mistake and delusion u make! Waheguru is one and so are we, indians are just that, indians with their history of torture driven intot hem, Americans are also whatver has been instilled into their lives. We all act upon how were raised and what we went through, this si Gods Will. Stupid poeple are just that, stupid people, but they are the same regardless of being white, black or asian, they have a commom view. JUST as truth is truth regardless of whos mouth is flows from. Truth can be found in the pure or a beggar on the street, who is truer....both! Open your eyes snagat and mat together we rid ourselves of what theh guru warned us off!! Let us clean within before we start judgin the rest of thwh world. This site is beautiful, i hope thoe of you who came into Siki to reach undertanding have so!!
