HI,


I am married for 4 yrs, and just had a miscarriage in my 3rd month. Am trying to recover from the loss, after great excitement of the new baby i'll have. It is a tough time. Specially, with the thoughts regarding my future pregnancies. No doctor has a correct answer to why what happened really happened.
I want to do some gurbani path everyday:
1) For Mental peace and feeling that god is there. Even though i know he's there, i feel lonely & depressed many times, and cry a great deal.. am loosing the focus & stay bored with every thing i do. Have no mind in my work or household chores...
2)Blessing for a healthy baby soon .. I also need to know, if there is a path for a blessing of a healthy baby or wish fulfillment...

I know, prayers & ardas make a difference... Pl help me.. i need help... to recover & look forward to staying happy.
(REPLY) Sat Nam. So sorry to hear of your loss. It is a very sad thing to have a miscarriage, and it is very typical for the woman to be very depressed afterwards. As to why it happened, there are so many physical possibilities, and certainly we know that everything that happens is a test of our faith in God and Guru, and to accept disaster as God's will is the mark of a saint. I would humbly suggest that you recite Shabd Hazaray every day many times. It is the shabd that has the power of a thousand shabds by the blessings of Guru Ram Das, and its power is that you will never be separated from your beloved and from your Guru! Remember that your body has been through a trauma, and so many times for a woman the sadness and depression is because of glandular adjustment. Be patient, and try to relax and believe that everything happens for the best. Certainly chanting Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur, the "mantra for a miracle" would be my suggestion as you pray for a healthy baby -- when the time is right. Try hard to be grateful for all the good things in your life, and ideally read ALL the banis every day. Japji Sahib connects you with your soul, Jaap Sahib will give you courage, Anand Sahib to bring happiness ! And Rehiras in the evening for protection, and finally Kirtan Sohila before bedtime so that you remember God all night. If you can play Gurbani Kirtan (softly) all night while you sleep, it should help also. And certainly during the day listen to Gurbani Kirtan while you do the household chores. Do everything - even the most commonplace of activities with the thought that you are service God. See what happens. May God and Guru bless and comfort you.
