Sat Siri Akaal.

Yes, it is OK to leave the Bir of Siri Guru covered in prakash after an akhand paath. HOWEVER, the Gurdwara/Bir should be put in sukhaasan, and Siri Guru's space/panji should be thoroughly cleaned and sheets and ramallahs changed, etc. BEFORE the next Akand Paath.

Generally speaking, if a Bir of Siri Guru is not used again AT ALL for a while after an Akand Paath, if the room is not used for meditation and reading from Siri Guru, but is only used once in a while for akhand paath, then the Bir should INDEED be put in Sukhasan. But if the Babaji's room, for instance, is in regular use, then it is not necessary to do sukhasan/change it right after completion of Akhand Paath.

For more information on Gurdwara protocol, see chapters 5-8 at this site: http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhism.

Guru ang sang,
-DKK
