I am just posting a comment...yes it is true it is hard to find a "Sikh" girl these days, but what about the guys? Yes, there are some who keep their pugs, but some of them may also drink till they get drunk, get it on with girls and much, much more. If the guys are like this, why do females have to be confined? Do not get me wrong, I'm not saying Sikhism is bad or ANYTHING like that. But it is not fair to have double standards, is it? I may have cut my hair and drink occasionally but I've never been even the slightest tipsy, never mind drunk. I know my morals and values, what is right and what is wrong and I have never done wrong by my family. However, I do agree what majority "Sikh" Girls and Guys do these days is not right, but it is the changing world with mixing cultures and values, it is an inevitable change. We, as a community, must learn to balance our Sikhism beliefs with the changing ways of the world.
