Sat-Shri-Akal.

I wanted to comment on a previous posted answer to this question.
In today's world a lot of Sikhs are taking Amrit without really understanding the Banis or purifying themselves from within. Some Amritdhari Sikhs have yet not distanced themselves from anger, pride, lust or worldly attachment- so how can the Amritdhari Sikhs, who refuse food from non-Amritdhari Sikhs, be sure if the Amritdhari Sikhs who have prepared the food have a pure heart and were actually reciting our Bani when preparing the food? Also, unfortunately many people are taking Amrit just for the show of it- so I do not think that we can be sure of the fact that all the Amritdhari's live an honest living, eventhough it ought to be like that.
The non-Amritdhari Sikhs have yet not taken Amrit, but many of these inividuals are undergoing a learning process of our Bani and with kirpa they shall also take Amrit. They are preparing themselves to take Amrit, they thereby they are also reciting the Bani when preparing food. So if the Amritdhari Sikhs are saying that they will only take food from Amritdhari Sikhs because thereby they'll be sure that it is cooked by people with pure thoughts, I would say that it is an unacceptable, wrong, baseless and discriminating argument.
These kind of behaviours are totally against our faith and no matter what the arguments may be, AMRIDHARI SIKHS MUST AND MAY NOT REFUSE FOOD FROM NON-AMRITDHARI SIKHS!
"I believe that having food from outside may impact their simran and push them away from realizing the goal of this life - to meet God." I would also like to comment on this statement- if an individual has taken Amrit and has purified him- or herself from within, I am sure that they will not be pushed away from realizing their goal, if they take food from a person, who hasn't had pure thoughts when preparing the food!:)
Bhul chok huyee, te maaf kareyo!
Sat-Shri-Akal.
