Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ke fatheh.

I have battled with cancer and won. But the thing is with the chemo therapy i lost all my ahir, which most of the time happens to cancer patients. m only a teen girl and I kept my hair my whole life. But when it started to fall out i lost faith on god. As much as i hate to say it and as much i am ashamed of it. But i got through and now know that good helped me through that harsh time in my life. But the thing is, i always wanted to be like the other punjabi chicks with my hair cut. But i new it was against my faith so i never did. But was is it bad when it fell out with the chemo? and now it is starting to grow back and I think i want to keep it short now. What should i do, im confused! will god be mad? Is there a punishment in the after life for cuttin hair. And will please give ne ideas to help my hair grown faster!!! I need help plz !!
Nanak nam chadi kala there pane survat tha pula!

Sat Nam! Hair is God's gift to you. When you had the Chemo, it was not your fault that the hair fell out, you didn't cut it. Now that it is growing back, it is God replacing the gift that was "stolen" from you by your illness. It is God's grace that you have recovered. Sikhs keep our hair in respect and gratitude to our Creator who obviously wants us to have hair -and continues to make it grow even when/if we stupidly cut it. Cutting our hair to be "fashionable" -- a "panjabi chick" is rather insulting to God. Even worse, it's an insult to our own integrity and self-respect as a woman. We punish ourselves when we do something that goes against our higher consciousness - you might call it "our conscience bothers us." God loves you no matter what you do, but each of us pays the karmic consequences for our actions. Guru Gobind Singh gave us definite instructions to always keep our "kesh." I hope you will value the return of the gift that was stolen, and that it will grow rapidly. ( Massaging your scalp and hair with sandalwood oil may help encourage rapid growth.)

Blessings, SP
