Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

I feel that it is very important to tell you my story, because they maybe other Sikhs out there in the world feeling the same way or have felt the same way.

I am a very fortuante Sikh girl that Sikhi has sprang from my family. I have been well educated on Sikhi and have pratically put my my Sikhi in practise.

Your probably wondering what the question/problem is? well.....

Guru Ji blessed me that I took Amirt from the Panj Piyare, and i put a Keshki on and was in my rehat. For five years i was amirt shak, and one day i woke up and i dont know what has happened. From looking so beautiful in my Guru's rehat i have become another girl in the society we live in.

I have done those things that now make me a kiratee. The worst feeling of all is that i know what i have done wrong, i know the true path to waheguru but i am being ignorant and not following. i pray and do ardaas every day that i may become that person again.

Please help me i want my khalsa spirit again. i know what i have lost. every time i try to do paath, naam i cant my mind wonders. the only things that keeps me attached is kirtan and i try my best to listen to kirtan every day so that my mind is constantly towards waheguru.

Please reply, and any other of my brothers and sister, my email is also attached.

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
Do you REALLY want to be a Gursikh, or are you thinking you are because of your family, peers, etc. I do not mean to be harsh. When people "stop" as you have the first question I have for them is WHY. Sometimes Guru tests us. I think he is testing your commitment to YOURSELF, your soul, and to Guru. The decision is yours. No one can "bring" you back; you bring YOURSELF back. JUST DO IT.

If you choose wholeheartedly and are fully aligned with being an Amritdhari princess of the Guru, then find yourself some Sangat who can and will support you, for sometimes we fall off because we do not call upon sangat; some of us don't have local sangat (which can make it really hard). Organize a youth group and get together weekly or more at different members' houses for kirtan and naam simran followed by lungar of some kind.

You should also go to http://www.sikhnet.com/Chat, because email addresses don't show up on Youth Forum posts.

Forget beating up on yourself. Guru has taken you through this test and now is asking you what you will do. So don't think you are always manmukh because of this. Don't think you are forever sullied. That is nonsense. We all have crises of faith at one point or many in our lives. Keep doing ardaas and listening to kirtan. Chant the Naam DAILY for at least 11 minutes, because this too will stabilize your mind and clarify your decision(s) from within.

Guru ang sang,
-DKK
