I am a third year medical student. I got married 2 months before starting my course, some 3 years ago, and migrated to my husband's country that was new to me. What I can tell you from my experience is that although medical studies are considered difficult, time-consuming and often tedious, they are also extremely rewarding and you will make it thru, as so many students have before you. Besides studying, I also have to look after my husband, my house and my own well-being alike. Nevertheless, I have never failed an exam or felt overly stressed. I just take things as they come, study whenever I can but also take time off to live my life with my husband. Medicine, although demanding, is just an undergad course, and it doesn't mean you should give up all the other aspects of your life to do it.
