Dear Sir/Madam

I have recently started doubting my religion. It seems the more I research it the more skeptical I become. I am under the impression that ours is not a true religion as none of our founders had direct contact with God (unlike Jesus, Mohammed (psbu) etc) and some of the stories I read seem to be made up. Why are we against blind rituals yet we say you can't cut your hair or you should wear a kuthca?

Waheguru! I am happy to hear that you are doubting your religion. Doubt and confusion are good! This is how understanding begins. Sikhi isn't about research, history, opinions, stories or founders. Sikhi is an inner experience. It is about your own relationship with your Guru. That is where understanding lies.

So.... the real question is.... what is the inner desire of your heart?

When you know that, then understanding begins. Understanding comes not from knowledge, but from experience. Understanding means standing under. Without surrender, there is no Sikhi.

In the Name of the Guru, the Light of every Sikh, and the Holy Naam which holds the world.

.....G
