Summary of Question:The Effects Of Gurbani
Category:Gurbani
Date Posted:Tuesday, 7/19/2005 2:53 PM MDT

From reading some of past posts, I have read people asking for what paath or shabad can they do for a certain event to happen (ie, good grades, a mircle...etc). I was wondering what if someone wants a mircle but they didn't recite that particular shabad, could that have influence on the outcome of the result? what if they did any paath...maybe did the usual paaths(ie, japji sahib etc...would that matter? Sorry if my question is all over the place.....

Thanking u in advance for ur help:)

Sat Siri Akaal. Any recitation of any shabd/Gurbani serves the one reciting, whether it done for a specific purpose or not. So the answer to your question is no. If you have a shabd or bani you particularly relate to or enjoy, recite recite recite! Guru ang sang,
