Sat Siri Akaal. I am told that when the calendar of 1699 is calculated into today's common calendar, the first Vaisakhi was actually on March 30. PERHAPS the reason the 14th is used in the East/India is so that those celebrating in the West on the 13th are in synch with India (due to huge time difference). I don't know. In 1999, Vaisakhi was celebrated on 4/14.
