Sat Sri Akal,

i need help. i'm 20yrs old, married and a student. i have alot of stress when it comes to my personal life, academic life and family life. i literally have no peace nor do i see peace in the family. i try to do paath but sometimes b/c of my studies, exams or anything miss it. sometimes even when i'm doing paath or meditating on Waheguru, i can't concentrate. all the stuff like my pending homework, family problems etc just jump around in my mind. i feel so helpless. i cry alot. i want to do paath and meditate but i can't do it with full focus and i desperately meed help about it. Please reply me soon.

You might find it helpful to do a breath walk meditation. Go outside. Begin walking and breathing deeply. Then, begin taking 4 segmented breaths through the nose in and 4 segmented breaths out. (Its like breaking the breath up into sniffs) Coordinate your walking to the breath. Next, add a mantra of SA TA NA Ma to the segmented breaths. For example, on the first sniff, mentally chant SA in your head, on the second sniff TA and so forth...for both the inhale sniffs and the exhale sniffs. You can also coordinate swinging the arms, making sure that the opposite arms and legs are moving at the same time, like right arm and left leg. Then, add the hand mudra. On the SA, press the tip of the thumb finger with the tip of the index finger; on TA, press the tip of the thumb finger with the tip of the middle finger; on NA, press the tip of the thumb finger with the tip of the ring finger; and on MA, press the tip of the thumb finger with the tip of the little finger. Keep repeating. Doing this breath walk will give you energy and focus. It will clear out your head and re-oxyginate your whole body. Do it daily for 31 minutes or as much as you can.
