Dear Sikhnet,

I was just curious if there is a mention of Jesus in our Guru Granth Sahib.If not, then why not.....do you think?

Sat Siri Akaal. Jesus is NOT mentioned in Siri Guru Granth, but there are periodic references to the Bible and of course, to the Koran in SGGS. Jesus is of course, mentioned in both the Bible and Koran.

Christianity was not prevalent in India during Guru's time; it existed, but as a very minority religion. The dominant religions of India then and now are: Hinduism, Islam, Sikh. I think this is one of the reasons we don't see references to Jesus specifically. Does it matter?
