Summary of Question:Marriage Is Dissolving

My 5 years of marriage is on the verge of dissolving. I have always believed in marriage, and always believe in one marriage. I got married in front of the God. When I took laavan, I prayed to the god for a strong loving bond between me and my husband. I asked for god to bless us. I feel being betrayed by the God. How can I go on with my life?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. I am so sorry to read of your situation. Not knowing why your marriage is dissolving, I can't really comment about it, except to say that people betray, God does not. I do not know what your circumstances are, but I do know that as a Sikh woman, you not only can, but must go on with your life in grace and dignity and courage, because that is the true nature of a woman and you must live to your excellence, not make your happiness dependent upon any person or thing. In this lifetime, we all experience suffering of one kind or another, and what is important is how we handle it. Life on Earth is temporary, and it is our reponsibility to make the best of it, no matter how it seems. We live and breathe by the grace of God. Remember every time you inhale, it is God breathing in you, and hear SAT NAM with each inhalation and exhalation. You are a Divine being, temporarily here on Earth in a physical form. God is with you, ANG SANG WAHE GURU -- not matter what you have to go through, feel His presence. May God bless you and Guru guide you. SP
