waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh!


khalsa ji..i was wondering...i have one muslim friend..she is very good friend of mine..and she is very religious..so that means she eats only halal meet..but what i want to know..that when ever i go to her house..i eat only dry fruits and drink coke or water..cuz she knows that i don't eat meet at all..so m i doing something wrong..by having water from her house..or eating dry fruit..even though knowing that they eat meet..would effect my thinking..u know what i mean..cuz i feel that if i have blessing of waheguru and guru ji..not such thing would effect me..and sometime i also say "allah hafiz" to her..or when she say allah hafiz to me..i reply with allah hafiz..so m i doing wrong..by saying allah hafiz..knowing that's not my jaikara..cuz i don't feel bad in side..i feel that everyone is same..and i think of guru's time..that haridmandir sahib's first stone was kept by miya meer..and Pita Guru Gobind Sahib ji had many good muslim friends..so when he didn't see difference in them..whom m i ..not to respond my friend when she say allah hafiz too me..cuz sometime she say sat sri akal to me too..cuz allah hafiz means..allah is the care taker right..so m i doing right..i don't eat eat meet from her house..even i don't eat meet at all..so plz tell me is my thinking right..or i should stop saying allah hafiz to her whenever she says to me..and stop eating from her house[dry fruits and water and soft drinks]

Dear one,
If you are visiting in the spirit of your grace asa a Sikh of the Guru, then your actions are OK! Perhaps, when she says Alla Hafiz, you can reply with "Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh" After all, Mian Meer was a great saint, but you are still a Sikh of the Guru. You can feel correct to speak your Khalsa greeting just as she feels correct to speak her Muslim greeting to you.

Rather than be emotional, just be devotional and true to your Guru given greeting. You do not need to play her game.
