Summary of Question:	Meat Eating Is Not Ok For Anyone.

i read the stuff on meat someone wrote on it was good and intersting but underneath you gys added that for some people meat is a way to survive like in tibet and that it's ok for them to eat meat. you know what the public needs to to know is it ok or not ok to eat meat when everytime someone asks a question you always give mixed signals wether it's ok or not. thats the problem that eating meat is so conterversial no one should eat meat and thats the truth maybe if you guys start telling people that it might be helpful i have wrote on meat eating in the past giving a straight answer and you guys never post my sayings so before giving advice look at what you are doing to the public and you can shut all the people like me as you can but you cant shut the truth. i thought this website might help sikhi you guys are corrupting sikhs giving people advice without thinking.
if you find this offensive i am sorry about this but i received some really bad advice at a time of need from you guys and thank god i didn't act on it it would have ruin my life.

Sat Siri Akaal. The question involving meat-eating where I mentioned that in Tibet, it is practically a requirement, was NOT about Sikhs and eating meat. Personally, I would like to see the planet convert to vegetarianism, but that's not realistic. Nor is it realistic to expect everyone, no matter what their spiritual path, must give up meat to achieve spirituality. That is simply NOT true from a practical OR historical perspective.

I'm sorry if it gave you mixed signals, but the fact of the matter is, there is little in life that is black and white. Much of it is gray; you will learn this as you get older. It is fine to be fanatic about not eating meat/eggs in one's personal life, but it becomes fanatical to expect those around you to be the exact same way. None of the Gurus approved of fanaticsm in such things.

One of the reasons so many Sikhs do eat meat (laziness aside) is that they do NOT interpret SGGS to mean that meat-eating is wrong. For many otherwise observant Sikhs, it is a gray area. While I heartily disagree with them, frankly, I can think of a whole lot of other issues facing Sikhi that matter a whole lot more than whether or not they eat meat.
