sat sri akal,

I just wanted to find out a few things.i have intention to keep a turban,it's been in my head for a very long time.I have two wonderful kids.but i'm afraid that i might make a mistake after keeping it like not cutting any part of our hair at all and so on.I am a female and before going into this i want to make sure that i am ready.Does this mean that after having a turban we females are not allow to socialise, like for wedding we are not allowed to dance and so on?Can we go to parties? Is there any kind of rule that we have to follow? Please do let me know all the important facts about keeping a turban.Thank you so much

(REPLY) Sat Nam. When/if you start tying a turban, then remember it is a sign of your commitment to living as a Khalsa woman. So, yes, you can go to a party, you can dance and socialize but at all times in all places you maintain your grace. Sikh women do not renounce the world! We should have fun and laughter in our lives, but live and act with grace and dignity, remembering that the turban is a royal crown. Obviously, never cut your hair! I hope this helps. SP
