wahegure ji ka khalsa,waheguru ji ki fatey,

could u pls help me out and send me some information on this topic if possible. I am doing a coursework in sociology and the topic i have chosen was 'The clash of religion between muslims and sikhs.
i wanted to know why there is this clash and how it started, and i wanted to also know more about them letters that are goin around about changing sikh girls into muslims.
I know i am asking alot, but it would be very much appreciated, Thank You very much.

The clash between Muslims and Sikhs started with Jahangir at the time of Guru Arjan Dev ji. The Muslim religious fanatics were jealous and felt in competition with the growing popularity of the court of Guru Arjan Dev ji. They tried to 'check' or stop this popularity by using the politics of the time against the Sikhs. You can read about this in any History book that deals with the history of India and the history of the Sikhs.
