Summary of Question:	A Muslim Man Ask Me For Marriege But He Has A Wife Already, Is This Legal?

A Egyptian muslim man ask me to marry him, he has been married for two years already but he is separated, i want to know if is legal to have two wives in the united states and what rights do i have as his second wife. I'm confuse, i love him deeply but i'm so worry about that .

(REPLY) Sat Nam. It is NOT legal to have more than one wife in the United States. It doesn't matter if they are separated, unless they are legally divorced, he cannot legally remarry. You would have no legal rights whatsoever if you lived with him without marriage. Be careful. If he loves you, and is honest and sincere, then he will get divorced before even having a relationship with you. By the way, are you also a Muslim? I assume you are not a Sikh. Blessings, SP
