I wanted to know what is our relationship with God?
And who is he?

VJKK VJKF

(REPLY) Sat Nam. God created all of the creation, including you and me and all creatures. The relationship is that God lives and breathes in us, but we aren't consciously aware of God's presence, because we make the mistake of thinking that God is something, or sombody separate from ourselves. God is not a person, yet God lives in every person. G - O -D is that Force, or Intelligence - or Consciousness or Spirit that G-ENERATES, O-RGANIZES, and then D-ELIVERS or D-ESTROYS "his" Creation. Guru Nanak explains in Japji Sahib that God cannot be described, yet Guru Nanak reminds us of God's qualities in the Mul Mantra ("Doer of Everything; Fearless {and therefore}WITHOUT ANGER; UNDYING;UNBORN; SELF-ILLLUMINED) Throughout Siri Guru Granth Sahib we are repeatedly told that God is everywhere! The purpose of life is to recognize (or remember !) that you came from God, and shall return Home to God ---hopefully without having to take on another human form -- when you've used up the number of breaths alloted you so that you could experience life on this planet. Some people feel very far from God, and others feel closer, some people meditate to try to experience that reality of SAT NAM -- which is God's Name, and is our real identity. God is to be Experienced, by the Grace of the Guru!
