You can find a whole boatload of great books on Gurmukhi at www.SikhLink.net. I can recommend _Teach Yourself Panjabi_ for starters, and there are several good, simple guides to picking up on just the alphabet itself. Plus, the prices are very reasonable because the fellow who runs this site looks on it as Sewa, not business. Check it out, it's well worth the time.
