But, I disagree when she says how hard it is when everyone around you does that stuff---. It's very simple for guys to say as well that all guys around us are clean shaven and we feel embarrassed too so we can't keep hairs. I am the only person at my work who is wearing turban, I had bit hard time in the beginning but things have been worked out quite well. I disagree that guys don't encourage girls to keep their hair. I know myself, I am trying to have my wife her hair. Now she is upto just have her eyebrows done and I am sure one day will come with Waheguru's grace she will stop that too.
Overall, I have too say as there is a proverb in Punjabi meaning "clapping can't be done with a single hand". Both sides are to blame for this nonsense. Girls do all this crap and the guys are not step behind than girls too.
It is just simple, if we really wanna call ourselves a Sikh, then we don't need someone's encouragement to follow this path. When you understand the basics, try to follow them. Personally, I had the option when I came here 5 years ago to cut my hair, but I kept and Waheguru has helped me a lot to achieve the position I have right now.
It's a serious issue, let's forget girl and guy thing and come along to follow what actually is meant to be a SIKH - not just outside stuff, inside too.
